Detailed Review
The BLACK+DECKER 40V MAX 13 Inch String Trimmer and Lawn Edger (LST140C) provides a dual purpose cordless outdoor tool for tidying up thick grass and weeds after mowing. Designed for residential lawn care, it combines trimming and edging functions into a single battery powered unit.
At its core, the tool features high torque PowerDrive technology that maintains cutting strength through dense overgrowth. Power comes from a 40V MAX Lithium Ion battery equipped with an integrated state of charge indicator, letting you monitor energy levels as you work. Switching between string trimming and lawn edging takes only seconds, expanding versatility around garden beds and walkways.
Usability is enhanced by an automatic line feeding (AFS) system, which continuously supplies fresh line without stopping to bump the head manually. When finished, the included charging base mounts directly onto a wall to save storage space. As a trade-off, the listing does not specify exact battery runtime, charge duration, or line diameter, so extra battery management may be needed for larger properties.
