Scotts Turf Builder EdgeGuard DLX Broadcast Spreader for Seed, Fertilizer, Salt, Ice Melt, Holds up to 15,000 sq.ft. Product, Green

The Scotts Turf Builder EdgeGuard DLX Broadcast Spreader is a practical lawn care tool designed for property owners who need efficient, even distribution of granular products. It arrives fully pre-calibrated and ready to use immediately, eliminating the hassle of assembling parts or setting initial gauges before your first job.

Capable of holding up to 15,000 square feet of Scotts lawn care products, the hopper is sized to handle substantial yard projects. The internal hopper and agitator are engineered to maintain smooth product funneling, delivering consistent coverage across your turf. To prevent wasteful spillover, the exclusive EdgeGuard Technology utilizes a side shield that blocks material from landing on adjacent driveways, sidewalks, and landscaping beds.

While the spreader serves year-round duties ranging from grass seed and fertilizer in warm months to ice melt and salt in winter, shoppers should note a couple of limitations. The factory calibration is specifically tailored to Scotts lawn care products, and the listing details do not specify frame construction materials, wheel dimensions, or total empty weight.

Verdict: The Scotts Turf Builder EdgeGuard DLX is a dependable choice for homeowners seeking a high-capacity, zero-assembly broadcast spreader. Its integrated side shield and multi-season functionality make routine lawn feeding, seeding, and winter ice control straight-forward and tidy.

A great fit if you:

• Want a broadcast spreader that requires zero assembly or initial calibration.
• Have a yard size requiring up to 15,000 square feet of product capacity.
• Need a single spreader for applying fertilizer, grass seed, salt, and ice melt throughout the year.
• Want to keep lawn chemicals and salt off your driveway, walkways, and flower beds using a side shield.

Consider something else if you:

• Primarily use non-Scotts lawn products that require non-standard calibration steps.
• Require detailed physical specs like wheel diameter or frame material before making a purchase.
